Depending on the hiring process, these positions may or may not be open. The titles below are the “positions” that you will need to choose when you complete the online application. Positions
General Counselors
If you’re looking to 1) have fun and 2) make friends, this role is for you! GCs are responsible for the care and supervision of the campers in all aspects of the program.
Depending on the period of the day, counselors may supervise an age group, lead activities, or execute special parts of the program. They build positive relationships with campers and serve as role models and authority figures. Counselors work from 8:15-5:15 pm Monday-Friday. They need to be able to commute to work each day.
Cub Counselors – We hire a number of General Counselors to specifically work in our Cub Program, working with our 5-6-year-olds. Find information about the Cub Camp program here.
Senior Counselors
Senior Counselors are in charge of small groups of ~12 campers within their respective age group (Cubs, Blazers, Trackers, Alpiners). Senior Counselors will serve as the direct supervisor to General Counselors, providing formalized feedback 2+ times a summer.
Senior Counselor responsibilities include, but are not limited to: leading a camper group, coaching GCs , creating activity schedules, planning All Camp Activities, making sure supplies are ready, supervising lunch, running shoutouts, leading Group Times, overseeing clean-up, and participating in camp meetings. In addition, each Senior Counselors will lead an individual initiative, such as managing our badging program.
Assistant Directors
Assistant Directors are experienced childcare professionals who ensure the magic of camp is maintained at camp at all times. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coaching and development of counselor staff, parent communication, and all responsibilities of Senior Counselors. In addition, the Program Directors will take on other significant roles at camp, such as leading our counselor evaluation system.
Compensation
The following is our proposed outline for the 2025 pay scale for summer staff. The pay scale is our way of making salaries consistent for the entire staff. However, if you have unique qualifications not stated in the outline, please contact our office to discuss your situation.

Additions to base salary are made for the following situations:

Referred an enrolled family | $75.00 |
*Minimum 4 weeks worked prior summers, bonus prorated on # of days worked
